I first heard about Oasis through my daughters’ school and became a volunteer helping out with the weekly foodbank and some administrative tasks. When the opportunity came to take on a role in the office, I jumped at the chance.
Oasis is a very special place; it helps those most vulnerable in our local community and the impact is immediate. It’s lovely to have an on-site nursery and see the children grow and develop in such a safe and nurturing environment.
Having started my career in finance, I then moved into primary school teaching which enabled me to live and work in countries around the world. Returning home to England, I felt ready to begin a new challenge and the charity sector has always appealed to me.
