Domestic abuse doesn’t stop when the relationship

Domestic abuse doesn’t stop when the relationship ends.For survivors and their children, post-separation abuse, coercive control, stalking, harassment and threats can continue long after leaving an abusive relationship. The early release of offenders can create further fear and uncertainty for survivors who have already taken steps to seek safety.As Domestic Abuse Awareness Month begins this October, we’re sharing these important messages to raise awareness and keep the voices and safety of survivors at the centre of the conversation. 💜At Oasis, we support women, children and families affected by domestic abuse, providing a safe space and specialist support when it is needed most.If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse or coercive control, you are not alone. Four weeks of showing up for local families this summer. ☀️With the school holidays bringing extra costs and added pressure on household budgets, our Fresh Food Bank provided fresh food and practical support to families who needed a little help.Across the four weeks, an average of 96 families came to us each week – a reminder of just how important this support is within our local community.Thank you to everyone who helps make our Fresh Food Bank possible.
