Oasis is Mayor of Elmbridge’s Charity of the Year

We are delighted to have been chosen as the Mayor of Elmbridge’s Charity of the Year for 2023/24.

Newly anointed Mayor of Elmbridge, Richard Williams, formally launched his support at Painshill Park, where Founder & Director of Services, Caroline Edwards, and Oasis client and champion, Rose both spoke about the importance of the charity’s work. Rose spoke courageously about the support Caroline and the team have given her over the last few years. Her journey to rebuild her life has taken time, and throughout, Oasis has always been by her side. As a result of the support, Rose and her family lobbied Mayor Williams to choose Oasis.

Caroline Edwards said, ‘We are over the moon to have been selected by Mayor Richard Williams. The challenges our families face are very real - from poverty, to domestic abuse, to poor mental health. By supporting Oasis, we hope the mayor will help us continue to raise awareness of the complex challenges many families in Elmbridge face.’
