Faye Thompson

“I joined Oasis Charity focusing on Outreach work. I started my career working with children in 2008, when my children began attending a local Pre-school. During this time, I gained my Level 3 Early Years Qualification. After 13 years working in Early Years settings, I changed career to follow my passion, working as a Children’s Advocate supporting women and children that have fled Domestic Abuse. This is where I gained an in-depth understanding of how Domestic Abuse can have an impact on children and their families.

I recently had the opportunity to complete my Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) training. This qualification has given me the practical and legal knowledge to support high-risk individuals and survivors of domestic abuse. I hope to use this knowledge, alongside my experience and empathy, to make a meaningful difference to the families that Oasis support every day.”
